How are the private cloud plans secured?

All our private cloud plans are built with security in mind, with all the platform layers: hardware, operating system and virtualization platform to use the latest stable versions, with all the latest patches and updates installed at the time when the service is provisioned.

All the plans also use dedicated and private hardware, which is not shared by other customers. The virtualization platform for that specific private cloud is used solely by you. This ensures that not only you get all the full physical computing and storage resources that your private cloud has (without sharing it with other customers), the possibility of “internal attack” from other customers’ VMs within the cloud will be eliminated.

Our pro and enterprise private cloud plans also come with a managed, dedicated hardware firewall, giving them a secured private network behind the firewall’s security policy, separated from the Internet and other private and public cloud clusters on the network. Optional site-to-site VPN between your office and the private cloud can also be established for secured management of the private cloud through a VPN tunnel for enhanced security. For our basic private cloud plans, optional managed firewall (host-based) service can also be subscribed as an add-on service.

On top of that, we also provide a wide range of other managed security services to complement and further enhance your private cloud’s security.
